28th October 2011 Abu Dhabi-UAE: 28 October, 2011 – More than 10,000 people from across the UAE gathered for the second ‘The Market @ Masdar City’, the family-focused street fair and organic market held at Masdar City, which aims to be one of the most ecofriendly and sustainable cities in the world.
25th October 2011 Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, CEO of Masdar, along with Dr. Roland Busch, member of managing board of Siemens AG and Sector CEO of Siemens Infrastructure and Cities, performed the ground-breaking for the building at Masdar City. The ceremony was attended by senior management from Siemens and Masdar.

12th October 2011 Masdar City, one of the five integrated units of Masdar, today showcased its business offerings to companies operating in the renewable energy and clean technology industries in addition to ancillary service providers at the three-day European Future Energy Forum (EFEF) 2011.
17th September 2011 Masdar has signed a co-operation agreement in Abu Dhabi with the Abu Dhabi General Services Company Musanada, affirming that all companies registered and licensed within Masdar City are eligible to participate in tenders issued by Musanada. The agreement was signed by Dr Sultan Al Jaber, CEO of Masdar, and H.E Mohamed Khalifa Al Fahed Al Mehairi, CEO of Musanada, in a ceremony at Masdar City.
15th September 2011 His Highness Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, yesterday, highlighted the importance of the contribution made by the Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company “Masdar” towards the development and deployment of renewable energy and clean technologies, both locally and globally.
